I have used this product for several years. It works great. Also, when ordering it through Amazon, it is easy and I received the product in about a week or maybe less.
 Used to remove my Birkenstock footbed odor June 17, 2010

After looking for suggestions to clean my Birkenstock footbeds I figured I'd try this product.
Unbuckled my Milano's and twist-tied the straps together under the sole which made scrubbing them easier.
I wetted the footpads lightly before applying this cleaner and I used a stiff bristled old toothbrush to rough up the footpad. I was generous with the cleaner but not sloppy. It doesn't foam but I felt it was working like a traditional saddle soap. I scrubbed each footbed vigorously for about 5 minutes. I then set my garden hose to jet spray and hosed them for about 30 seconds. I wanted to remove the cleaner but not blast the footbed too much.
I toweled the footbeds to soak up as much water as I could and then set them in the sun, still twist-tied, to dry.
I keep an eye on the drying process because I didn't want to leave them out in the sun too long and overdry or maybe crack the leather.
The footbeds were not as good as new but definitely no longer had the worn shine which made me clean them. The new texture had returned and the leather looked good. The foot odor was gone and if there was any smell at all it was the smell of the cleaner. I used the neutral Urads. Next time maybe I'll hose them a little longer.
I've worn them for a week and the cleaning is holding up well - they have not quickly reverted to their smelly, shiney state. These Birkenstock Milanos are really well made and took the cleaning with no deterioration. I've had them a year and still feel like they are not broken in yet. They are my indoor summer slippers.
I'll probably use this product again next time they need cleaning unless I read about something better. I might try the Birkenstock cleaner but it seemed a little pricey.

Neutral has worked for all shoes, no matter color of leather! Easy to use. Mildly odorous to apply, but works very well! Much better than having a different product that dries out for every color of shoe. My dad loves it for all of his work shoes too; he told me about it. He bought it at a farm show.

order arrived in good time considering it was almost christmas and it was being sent from overseas. the product itself is great and my sofa looks as good as new now. it is quite strong smelling but only lasted about an hour or so. it was very easy to apply too.
