3 out of 5 stars Cheap and Easy, but Sizing is Off   March 27, 2010

This product is cheap, affordable and easy to use. I've had no malfunctioning with it and I use it A LOT (I own a trail riding facility so we are always out on trail with Bridles like this, tying the horses up using the halter part - see (...).

That said, I found that the bridle runs a bit small in some places and a little large in others. For instance, the throat latch and the curb strap are WAY too small for my paints and quarter horses. On the other hand the removable cheekpieces can be on the larger size, but perfectly functional.

I recommend the Weaver version of this halter for a high quality nylon if you're willing to spend the couple extra dollars.

But that said, this works and is very easy to use on an affordable level.

The halter is too small for a standard horse size between poll and behind ears. Rubs the ears and can cause bleeding. I had to use my sewing machine to permently stitch the brow band lower and then wool-pad the halter to prevent abrasions.
